An extremely impressive trekking route in the north-west of Vietnam will take you to the spectacular mountain and jungle. With 5 days to adventure Yen Bai Province, you will be admired the most breathtaking rice-terraces of Vietnam, experience the authentic life of Ethnic people and learn more about their cultures and habits. Let yourself bewitched and dive into the wonderful route for trekking in Vietnam, which goes throughout Thac Ba – Nghia Lo – Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai – La Pan Tan – De Xu Phinh. Departure from Hanoi, you are picked up to Yen Bai province by a private bus. It is known as the land of many minorities, Yen Bai is the place that you can meet H’mong, Tay, Nung, White and Red Dzao. Each of them owns an original traditional costume and culture. 
After arriving at the homestay in Thac Ba region, we start easy trekking around to catch the reflecting sun into the lake, enjoy some fresh air, and feel the primary scenes. 
Go back to local house for dinner that is the time for relaxing and communicating with the hosts. You can join in doing the meal and learn more about the culture of the minority here. Overnight at the homestay in area of Thac Ba.
Day 2
Thac Bà - Muong Lo - Nghia Lo

After breakfast, we take a boat trip on Thac Ba Lake, which is located in a 23.400 ha area including more than 1000 islands and lots of mysterious karst caves. Thac Ba is not the largest artificial lake in Vietnam, but also mesmeric with a diversified eco-system. Blow your mind to the beautiful nature of the lake and mountain in this area. 
Next, we go to Muong Lo valley that owns the most spectacular rice-terraces only after Mu Cang Chai. Especially, Muong Lo is well-known as the motherland of Thai people with traditional houses on stilts and cultivating working. Stop in Muong Lo 2 hours for a sauntering into the Thai's village. This is the chance to explore how Thai ethnology lives, do their daily activities, and keeps the culture. Overnight at a guest house in Muong Lo.

Nghia Lo - Tu Le - Mu Cang Chai

Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Mu Cang Chai (120km - 3h drive). The road winds through the Hoang Lien Son range, home to some of the highest mountains in Indochina.
Stop in the valley of Tu Le, known for its delicious glutinous rice.  we will arrange the motorbike with rider take you to Thai and Hmong villages. The scenery is picturesque, you will cross bamboo suspension bridges, rice terraces, streams, houses on stilts. People are in traditional clothes and will welcome you with open arms.
After lunch at Tu Le, continue on the road to Mu Cang Chai via the Khau Pha Pass ("celestial horn" in hmong), which offers a breathtaking view of the rice terraces. The landscapes are exceptionally beautiful with cultivated valleys and mountains with rice terraces. Mu Cang Chai is considered an unusual paradise, which is one of the best places in Vietnam for landscape photographers.

After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will take you to visit some village surrounding by motorbike. Explore the ancient houses, wander the village’s narrow alleyways, visit local temples, and most interesting of all, chat with friendly locals.
Mu Cang Chai is famous for its mesmerizing terraced rice fields, has been named one of the 19 most picturesque peaks on earth by US travel site Insider. Typical daily life of people in Mu Cang Chai is full of incredible experiences that foreigners should try such as exploring a tea plantation, produce tea, harvest rice.
we will drive you to La Pan Tan and Mam Xoi where you can enjoy a short walk (roughly 3km each way) up the hill and be rewarded with beautiful views of the surrounding rice fields, The rice terrace fields in La Pan Tan village have been recognized as national landscapes by the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism because of its very wealthy in pure beauty.

Mu Cang Chai - Hanoi

After the cozy breakfast at homestay, bidding a farewell to the host and Mu Cang Chai. Far East Tour team takes your group to Hanoi with around 8 hour driving. (Having lunch en-route). End of Special route for trekking in Vietnam.
