Nha Trang Transportation and Vehicles

To go to Nha Trang, you can move in many different ways, depending on your budget, time and interests. If this is the first time you come to this beautiful bay, preparing a map of Nha Trang city in your pocket will be extremely important for you not to get lost when traveling around.
 

HOW TO GET TO NHA TRANG

I. By Plane: 

You can take a flight to arrival at Cam Ranh Airport, then transferring to the center of Nha Trang City. Some Airport Company serve two ways fly to Nha Trang:
  • Domestic: Vietnam Airlines, Jestar Pacific, Vietjet Air. All of them departures from Hanoi, Saigon or Danang
  • Internation:  Korean Air, Air France, Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar (departure from Singapore), Moscow, Incheon, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita.

II. By Train:

1. Hanoi: Total long 1315 km
  • From Hanoi to Nha Trang: Train Number SE1, SE3, SE5, SE7, TN1. 
  • From Nha Trang to Hanoi: Train Number SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, TN2. 
2. Ho Chi Minh City: Total long 411km
  • Thong Nhat Rail Way: Price $8 – $30/ way/ person.
  • Departure time: 19:00 (SE2), 23:00 (SE4), 15:45 (SE6), 06:25 (SE8), 10:05 (TN2), 14:00 (TN4)
  • You can buy train ticket from Saigon:  No 1 Nguyen Thong, Ward 9, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

III. By bus

1.    From Hanoi:
  • Departure time: around 16h00
  • Hoang Long Bus: $35/way (included bed).

  • Phuong Trang Bus: $11/way (included bed) from 8h30 – 20h30. Phone: 08.38.309.309

  • Moving Time: about 2.5 hours
  • Phuong Trang Bus: $7/way
 

HOW TO TRANSFER IN NHA TRANG

1. Taxi

There are many taxi companies that you can safety choose them to go transfer internal Nha Trang City. If you go from Cam Ranh to Nha Trang or vice versa, you will have to pay about $10/way for more than 35 km.

  • Bus 01:  Binh Tan - Le Hong Phong - Vo Thi Sau - To Hieu - Truong Son - Phuoc Long - Le Hong Phong - Ma Vong - Street 23 October - Highway 1A - Highway 2 - Thanh Bus Station.
  • Bus 02: Binh Tan - Tran Phu - Binh Tan Station - To Hieu - Tran Phu - Tran Quang Khai - Hung Vuong - Le Thanh Ton - Dinh Tien Hoang - Quang Trung - Tran Quy Cap - Ma Vong - Street 23/10 - Highway 1A - Highway 2 - Thanh Buses Station.
  • Bus 03: Dam market - Ngo Gia Tu - Lo River (Phan Boi Chau) - Ngo Quyen - Pasteur - Tran Hung Dao - Nguyen Chanh - Ngo Gia Tu - Cuu Long - Le Hong Phong - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Lo River Stop.
  • Bus 04: Hon Xen - Nguyen Thien Thuat - Vinpearl: Xen Island - Pham Van Dong - Ponagar Tower - Street 2/4 - Quang Trung - Ly thanh Tong - Le Thanh Tong - Nguyen Thien Thuat - Tran Quang Khai - Tran Phu - Bao Dai Palace - Da Bridge - Vinpeal Port.
  • Bus 05: Tran Phu Bridge - To Hien Thanh - Ro Island: Northern Tran Phu Bridge - Nguyen Binh Khiem - Ngo Quyen - Phan Chu Trinh (Return way: Hoang Van Thu - Le Loi) - Hoang Hoa Tham - Nguyen Chanh - Le Thanh Tong (Return way: Dinh Tien Hoang) - To Hien Thanh - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - Tran Phu - Da Tuong - Vo Thi Sau - Phuoc Long - Le Hong Phong - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Binh Tan Bridge - Hon Ro 1 Island.
  • Bus 06: Southern Station - Northern Station - Luong Son market: Southern Sation - Street 23/10 - Yersin - Quang Trung - Street 2/4 - Northern Station - Nguyen Xien - Highway 1A - Luong Son Market (Luong Son Village).

3. Motorbike

You can easily to rent a motorbike with a pretty cheap price in Nha Trang City. Request your hotel, or rent by yourself with several following information:
Don’t forget to ask for the nearest Pastoral Station to buy some pastel as soon as possible.

4. Oversea Cable Car

Vinpearl Land Cable Car is such long cable car line to go over Nha Trang Bay. It is 3320m, connect Nha Trang to Hon Ngoc Viet resort in Hon Tre Island. This is the longest oceanic cable car, and also the unique one having cabin for 8 people. 
  • Time to go: about 10 minutes.
  • Open Time: from 9 am to 10 pm.
  • Price for Vinpearl Land (included cable car and park): $31/adult, $27/child (height from 0,95m to 1,4m), and free for child above 0,9m.

5. Boat Excursions:

Nha Trang boats almost departure at Cau Da Port. From Nha Trang City, you can visit many surrounding small Islands. This is one of the most beguiling activities in Nha Trang. You can contact to Christine for more information.

 
Useful local tips in Nha Trang
  • Summer is the peak tourist season in Nha Trang, so to avoid the situation of tickets sold out, rooms should be booked 1 - 2 months in advance and the hotel price is not too tight or too expensive. red.
  • Although the weather in Nha Trang is convenient and much cooler than surrounding provinces, but when traveling, do not forget to prepare all costumes and personal items for you! And don't forget waterproof phones or waterproof bags for phones.
