Visit the Âng Pagoda to experience the typcical Khmer architecture.
After breakfast at homestay, we proceed to Tra Vinh, which is called “the world of makapuno”. But, Tra Vinh is really famous by the Khmer pagodas such as Phno Don, Ang, etc.
Firstly, you take a boat trip going to Long Tri Island that is rich in vitality by the tropical gardens of longan, mangosteen, rambutan, orange… You take a bicycle to ride around the village, admire the tasty looking orchards, and enjoy the refresh wild of the countryside.
In the afternoon, we visit the most ancient pagoda of Tra Vinh – the Ang (Ang Korajaborey) that is typical for Southern Buddha. It owns not only a great architecture, but it is also an important center of culture, art, religion, and education.
Stop to visit Cau Ke ancient house (another name: the house of Huynh Ky) on the way going to Can Tho. The ancient house is a beguiling blending of old French architecture and oriented style in decoration. It also displays as a delightful project of carving and painting through the statues, reliefs, dome, or the painting on the walls and ceiling. Cau Ke is evidence for the development of Vietnamese architecture in the gap period between the traditional and modern architectures. Overnight at the homestay in Can Tho.
